Coronation Day

A Cinderella chariot, Eight horses in the lead; Two heavy looking crowns that seemed Uncomfortable, indeed. A scepter and an ermine robe, An orchestra and choir, With all that pomp and heraldry Intended to inspire. The royal family on board, Except the ones estranged; The military marchers And the guests, just-so arranged. Amazing to bear witness to The history, the bling. I joined the world to watch The coronation of a king.

Hi Ilene, Thank you for this wonderful descriptive write of King Charles's coronation. It is history in the making and I hope he has a fruitful reign.

Charles looked very happy. Only now we see how much the crown means to him…now let’s see what is done with it. Very nice, Ilene!

Wonderful! I watched it too! I'm working on a Hallmark card verse for "congratulations on your coronation"! You have inspired me to finish it. Well done, poet!
