Corner Store, Park, the Beatles
Mike Bayles
floor creaks
footsteps echo
cans of shelves
feeling small
I follow my older cousin
he buys me
Beatle bubblegum cards
the outdoors calls
luscious park and playground
near my school
greenery abounds
a walk back home
secret conversations
I say Paul
and he agrees
aimless clouds drift
lambs and lions
and daisy chains
always a rhythm in time
