Corner
Terror is a strange thing
After a while it becomes
A numbing void left in your heart
You aren’t left troubling
Over “if” or what’s to come
You’re simply torn apart
Trying to let out a breath
That’s locked in your lungs
As you’re left shivering
In the corner, where you’re left
There’s a ladder, but on each rung
Your steps leave them crumbling
You believe what they say
Those voices in your mind
You slash yourself
Because then they’ll go away
You’re left alone in this, blind
You’ve gotten to the twelfth
Left bleeding in your
Silly
Little
Corner
