Conversations With My Feet
If my bare feet could talk
I wonder what they'd say?
If we are in church
I wonder if they pray?
The miles they have carried me
the journey we have made.
They are my source of transportation
each and every day.
Some days they yell at me
"Pay attention to my beauty"
Then off to get a pedicure
So they may resume their duty.
I know they listen in
on all my conversations
If only they speak
Help me with foundations.
I owe so much to
my little toes
When I was a gymnast
I put them through such woes.
It summer now so they
need to breathe
they can shop with me
and pick out what they need.
It's time for something girlie
my cowboy boots wear them down.
who knows what this season brings
time for happy happy clowns.
Barefoot in the sand
Is what they need the most
Absorbing the heat
So they can start to glow.
So my twins
that support me everyday
I just want you to know
You fill me with Dismay!
