CONVERSATION
You and I could get together
Somehow in some way.
We can talk about the weather
Or each other's day.
There is much we could discuss
Through our participation.
Any topic known to us
Is worth a conversation.
Opposite each other by
Arrangement of a meeting.
Sharing who, where, when and why
With a drink and eating.
Spoken dialogue - each word
Building to this exchange.
Language which is seen and heard...
The normal and the strange.
Otherwise, we have the choice
To converse on the phone.
I would love to hear your voice
At times when I am lone.
SMS and email
Or video today...
Platforms which we can detail
What we have to say.
A catch up or a rendezvous
To honour our time spent
Is possible for me and you...
In person, called or sent.
Conversation in its art
Can bring our then to now.
All we have to do is start
In some way and somehow.
