Control

Today I’m not better I just don’t react
To tell you the truth the hand is not stacked
I don’t know what shall happen one day to the next
But it’s something perhaps that I shouldn’t guess.

I wake up this morning with a smile on my face
I never imagined I could be in this place
That once you give in and lose control
Your life doesn’t feel like a bottomless hole.

It kind of makes me think I created this for me
And then I complained when I could no longer see
You just have to let the chip fall where they may
Then things don’t vanish they continue to stay.

As the curtain falls I take my bows
I accept whatever my fate allows
It is never over until the fat lady sings
You just can’t control what the future brings.

Thanks Mike hope all is well! My poerms are a reflection of the rythm of life. Much like the ocean and the retreating and returning tides.Always coming back full circle from where I came. Thanks for reading and I'll be posting more, I have two years of stuff that needs to get out there:)
