Contradictions of Life

Two major contradictions in life can bring you to your knees Like opposing sisters in a family, as one arrives, the other leaves Comedy and tragedy… Two mascots, hovering above every life One brings gifts of joy and laughter; the other brings pain and strife Comedy and tragedy… Mirth has a mind of her own desiring to stick around like glue But her seemingly jealous sister, is most often misunderstood Comedy and tragedy… Each one unique in the role which they play They seem to keep some balance on life’s revolving stage Comedy and tragedy… It has never crossed my mind, just how insane living here would be If we all experienced only rain, without the sun how would species feed?
