Old and new offers from poets’ coffers
Embracing contest aim not seeking fame
Twenty six miles – all sorts of styles
Rich pictures unfold through writing so bold
Yielding many tales such quality prevails
Mammoth event was organiser’s intent
At all rounds, poetic prowess abounds
Race to submit as none want to quit
A miscellany of writing, the output so inviting
Ten places each mile, ten people smile
Happy to compete, others content in defeat
Onward to end of run, it’s been a journey of fun
No more waits in anticipation, nor moments of such elation
