Contentment

What is contentment? Please let me know
   Describe it to me. --I've been wondering so
Is it deep down inside you? Does it last very long?
   Does it leave you the instant things start to go wrong?

Perhaps it's just an aspiration, a star for which to aim
   Or is it an aberration -- like Antarctic rain?
What is contentment? Please let me know
   So I can experience it for a day -- before I go ...
