Contend To Be Content

Maintaining an evenness of devotion
means the world to me
don't fool and start a commotion
I recognize ye
There are times I ponder
as to why love don't last
why people squander
and rod do cast
are they not warm and dry but cold and wetter
is it themselves that is lacking
should they be a debtor
while the floor beneath them is cracking
in our walls of luxury
they should fix the dent
this is just the introductory
so contend to be content

I believe that in life many things are attained through stages; greed will not lead to a satisfying ending.
