Constellation Constance
Constellation Constance was a cat with a curious roar,
She glowed with star gazer love and light forevermore
We were in awe of her, for she was mystical and more.
From another planet, she landed one night at our front door.
We tried to take her in, but she was an outdoor cat of the night.
She wanted to stay where she was; anywhere else did not feel right.
We respected her wishes, and backed off, with all of our might.
She was an anomaly, who was backlit with a constellation’s light
Few people met Constellation Constance, for you had to be a witch.
Or a warlock or a faerie to notice her cat-like eyes that had a twitch.
She was normal beyond a normal person’s visualization or glance.
She could put us mystics into a holding pattern, a stupor or a trance.
