Consider Each Other As Human Beings

We have all came into this world
equally, as human beings that no doubt
the great creator touched our very being
bearing us in his image what he's about

But when we look at man's behaviour
that equality seems to have got lost
self is the rule over everything else
such being man's heart hard as frost

All over the world, all are different
many colours abroad from man's skin
this certainly shouldn't matter at all
but sadly it puts many being out or in

Many languages around the globe
originated at the biblical tower of Babel
many religions to fill man's void
but still, they fail to meet man's label

But really, after all, we need to be humble
to treat everyone with respect and care
for human, we are covering all aspects
consider each other no matter our colour

(" It does not matter whats the colour of your skin, what language do you speak, what religion you believe in. It is that we should all consider each other as human beings.")

G'day Gordon … your poem is certainly valid, yet so many today are full of hate and prejudice, yet we like to class ourselves as civilized. If only everybody could read your verse Gordon - Lindsay

Sadly your words are so true Gordon, if only things could change it would be a much kinder world for sure. I especially love your last stanza, for to be humble and respect each other is all that is required to make this a kinder place to live. Thank you Gordon and I hope you are well, with not too much of the 'white stuff'. With kindest thoughts Ann xx

Hi Ann, Thanks for your kind words, we are well and no snow yet, we were at Crieff in Scottish Highlands last week for 5 days break and no snow at all as usually when at Crieff in January it's at least an inch or two. Blessings always, Gordonxx

Gordon, you poetically covered the disparities of man so very well in your fine write. These are good words to ponder, and knowing that we are all created in the image of God and equally loved by Him is a comfort..blessings to you! :)
