Conserve the Environment

CONSERVE THE ENVIRONMENT. I'm eaten and beaten, Our fate us written, As I see hunger striking, I see death approaching, Every dawn at our heels, Down stream and to the hills, To deplete every green matter, Forgetting the words of our mother, Left right and center, From rural to the urban centres, Dumpsites at every corner, I wonder if we can conquer, The ecosystem at large, Every species is endangered, We've forgotten what we learnt in school, Our fisheries have no school, There is no life without the environment, I appeal to our beloved government, Let's plants trees downstream, I appeal for a live stream, Industrialization good, yes I agree, But to some extent allow me to disagree, What significance does it bequeath? If it's end is death. God gave it to us undue, To conserve it and subdue Even if it's through a barrel of a gun There is nothing good and fun. Kipngeno Robin
