Conservation of Mass

Meandering about, out here in space
Some say, I’m the creator of the human race

Always expanding, since the dawn of time
Now this guy ponders me, in his rhyme

But he’s a fool, for he thinks too deep
Reckons I’m the life force, of his cosmic heap

A conduit to eternity, far side of death
Makes him feel good, but wastes his breath

If only he’d realised, he’s the sum of all parts
His birth and death, are just stops and starts

Particles just change, one state into another
Never to be destroyed, buried, or smothered

Bring on the horizon, bring on the big curve
It will come back round, your past universe
