Conquest

My heart whispers...just one more conquest....
& it seems like a never-ending-quest...
Stretching for another mortal vanity....
Is just a kind of insanity....!

The heart is foolish...it does not know...
These conquests are stupendous structures of snow...
The harder you hold...the sooner they melt....
And in a moment...only nothingness is felt...!

Illusory glories are tantalizing...
They promise you almost everything....
You sacrifice your blood....your sweat...your ties....
& then you realize that it was, just,a mirage for the eyes....!
