Conquered, Cryptic, and Cold

Conquered, cryptic, and cold
I never knew what this all meant
And still my bones feel so old
And my feet aren’t getting wet

They’re dry
From all the lies
I cry, I try
And I just can’t run away
I know
I know it shows
I’m low, a foe
And I just can’t run away

Understand me, I’m gone
And tears flow off my face like rain
But I know I’ve done nothing wrong
Still my eyes are numb from the pain

They’re dry
From all the lies
I cry, I try
And I just can’t run away
I know
I know it shows
I’m low, a foe
And I just can’t run away

Do me the honor
Of being yourself
Tonight
Put me in focus
Tell me it will be
Alright
Tonight it’s alright
Tonight I’m fine
Tonight I will fight
Tonight is all mine

I’m dry
From all the lies
I cry, I try
And I just can’t run away
I know
I know it shows
I’m low, a foe
And I just can’t run away

I’m here to stay
Unfortunately
This is the end for me
See
I want to be
But I’m already free
