Connections
Swingsets cross my mind
the playful senitments
you used to suggest to me
from when first had met
I felt my life was static then
emotionally bankrupt
thought i never felt more calm
except on days you would show up.
So just to let you know
Through the years we crossed
each other on the roads
or in darkness with clothes off
Your the truest friend i've had
a trust thats never gone
I never thought what we had
was bad or even wrong.
I just knew hidden somewhere
I kept your smile safe
Your laughter brings me back
to a happier place.
Years go by and people move on
For some reason plus
You always sang my same song
accompanied with lust.
This little poem is not
supposed to be cheesy in anyway
It just let you know
It was great to see your face.
