-conflict Within-

(From the Looking Back Series):

Confusion is closing in on me.
Will I lose my destiny ?
What is really to become of me
in light of God's Eternity ?

My choices are my reality
and in my thoughts they're all I see.
I ever desire the Heavenly
but what I've done has darkened me.

I know the truth of conflict within
as I've yielded to temptations and sin.
To choose the way back, I've yet to begin;
to embark on the path where I know I win.

Not too much longer can this stay undone,
maybe an answer before the next setting sun.
I'm still called to finish the race I've begun
and be assured of the victory as I run.

Well expressed piece, as I ponder logic to this piece. " I know the truth of conflict within" my take on this: Our frontal lobe of our brain is what creates inner conflict, we are born with sin and will always struggle, yet there is a light to give us serenity from all :) Liked the way you have expressed here, very nice job here. Sincerely, Lucinda
