Conflict Or Peace
When events occur as they routinely do
That cause unrest within,
Do we a wrong course pursue
Or a slip into sin begin?
Do we see it as merely a test
To see if our faith is strong?
Do we make a prayerful request
And break into joyful song?
Do we contend that we’re all alone
With no relief in sight?
Do we feel that all hope is gone
That there’s no end to this constant fight?
I think that at a time such as this
It is time to honestly reflect.
Do not God’s simple message miss
Or His encouragement neglect.
He’s promised in the midst of the storm to be
To never His own forsake.
So look beyond self and only Him see
And of His goodness partake.
