Confidence

The sun-speckled public pool overflows with expectant faces;
Their glistening eyes look up at me with promises of safety.
Unlocking the tension in my knees is one face in particular.

'one face in particular'... hmmm... a loved one? A child maybe? The innocence of a stranger? If the one face brought focus I guess it doesn't matter does it :) I hope you are doing well Timothy. I do not write much since I returned, just wanted to reach into the past here a little. Take care

Funny how easy it is to forget which ones you've read... I know I've already read so many that it's kind of a blur if I think about it too much... I appreciate you going back into my older work... means a lot!

One in a crowd can make a difference--focusing on that one you can gain so much more than the lot. I got that out of this poem. Anyway, wow, you are a very talented writer. I enjoyed the ones I have read so far from you! I'm not always the best at punctuation but I try my best... lol. Being somewhat of a hermit poetry is a great outlet for me to express myself... I am thankful for your appreciation!
