Confession

Dark tombs don't scare me now, Dark nights are sweetest too... Darling what worth is life If I'm not loved by you? If death is such a sleep As verses use to say, Tell death I want to play My part of it today. I tried to love again But failed to walk the line; I carved my darling's name Into this heart of mine. Sweet lovers come and go That I never satisfy... I always seek for love, Yet love just pass me by. The one I loved didn't stay, It never felt too fair, But yet I always run From girls who truly care. Whenever that I fall And try to walk the line; I feel this engraved love Into this heart of mine! for Strong Emotions Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Emile Pinet 25/08/2022
