Condolences To My Friend

To My Good Friend on his recent loss

We know that death awaits us all

But , it never makes it easy

From when we're born, we're in its thrall

To which there's no appeasing

Some lives last just for moments

For others, many years

But while they're in our grasp we give

Our love, our laughs, our tears

Some say they're in a better place

They think that'll ease our pain

And so we lean on God's good grace

In hopes our hurt will wane

But we, never will forget

The times we spent together

We may feel alone, but yet

They're in our hearts forever
