Concealed and Protected

At work I act real normally like everybody else. I cross my t's quite formally and quick respond to bells. I answer questions that are asked while staying in my place. I crunch results as I am tasked and check them just in case. I (mostly) get to work on time and mind my p's and q's I've mastered stopping on a dime executive parking spots I don't use. Proper men and proper women not a single knows The secret world that dwells within from which my poetry flows.

I think this is a great poem and I identify with it a lot, I especially like how line 7 is worded. With that being said, and I know this isn't in the critique section but I like this poem enough for this to bother me so I feel it should be said, "real normally" just doesn't sound right. I think you should drop 'real'. Sorry if this is unwanted.

ah yes Nancy we all carry that little precious secret with us.. a wonderful entry if for any contest luv.. reminds me of me when I worked in business world .. now just my hubby's secretary.. sometimes I wonder..haha..

Yea, it's sorta like 'conceal & carry' for handguns. You be packin' poems, mama! Pistols and poems; metaphors for each other. I like it.
