Comprehending Compassion

You’re older man sat alone. his bicycle at his side Him I have never known as to work I was in stride I said have a good day he said it’s hard with this MRI I said that I would pray as I continued to walk on by And just as I was looking back his eyes opened up wide A faith that he may lack as we both seemed to confide As in to the hospital I went as I cook there all day long Many prayers that day were sent that he will be strong As just the other day a young woman came hurriedly in Often elderly make their way with often a sad sullen grin I pray for many of them also, my own Blessings now seen Just to let them know even if they don’t know what I mean For you cannot know the power of even one single prayer With chances God will shower, God who is ultimately fair So don’t you miss out in often praying at each opportunity Perhaps it might even end your doubt in now looking you cansee

Praying for others is a very noble kind thing to do and this lovely poem reminds us of that practically in a fine narrative way. Thumbs up! Plz do read and comment my newest poem too.

That’s awesome! Everyone can use prayers no matter who they are. It’s a gift that’s eternal. Enemies, strangers, friends. Sometimes times easy, some time very hard, but never ever wasted. Thank you!
