Complete

...for Juvie

I am safe when you are near,
like a baby nestled in
his mother's arms.
I can breathe without gasping
and speak without stammering,
my embarrassment fades
in the glow of your smile.

I need no safety net.
There is no pretense,
no prevarication,
your closeness brings
a feeling of well-being.

Dancing with the lights low
and kissing in the street,
holding you so tight
and hoping that you'll
never let me go

I feel complete.

Hey Keith! Ohhh..another stunning write. You truly are the Prince of Romancia! A soft and tender write. I think you're locked in the arms of Spring...sweet of you to share this! I'm still caught in the alley at the supermarket.:( Sweet seductions?? I think Betty Crocker and Duncan Hines are agents of Nottingham! Oh well...I will write something more serious soon.:) This is beautiful piece, Keith..very inspiring! Best to you and yours..God bless!! Love and hugs...Mikki

We go from mother to wife for only reason ... and that rules out the common proclamation ... we are children of love at every stage of life ... love is the only comfort we trust ... I love the tenderness of this one.

A beautiful description of the comfort we feel in the presence of someone we love deeply. It's just how I felt when I was with my late husband. Now even the memories can recall the security of "a baby nestled in his mother's arms." Very tender and heartfelt poem! Love, Carolyn
