Company

I look around the room, its filled to the brim
all the people smiling, happy, not grim.

I listen to the chatter,
to the mindless constand laughter.

I then realize,
I'm alone.

Do any of these people know the story of one another?
Does anyone care, why does no one seems to bother?

I look at all the faces;
A smile leaves its traces

I then realize,
I'm alone.

In a world so dark and so dirty,
who determines who is and isn't worthy
of a companion, and a friend?
