Commiserations
vacuum of soul mate’s bereavement
falling into a bottomless abyss
cannot be instantly healed
by a mere platonic kiss
helpless yet rebellious
the wounded heart bleeds
yet tender touch of a friend
pained soul at such time needs
love, spontaneous and uninhibited
plunges headlong into embrace
there is in it no calculation
and of ego no trace
