Coming To Terms

«?» Coming to Terms «?»

I wonder why I couldn’t see
We were not meant to be
Now I’m left here to say
My hearts love has gone away
Tears that now begin to fall
Slowly rebuild a gilded wall
It lingers infinitely to be
Torturing what's left of me
Coming to terms is hard
Like being deeply scarred
A future is gone that was open wide
Now it’s vanished and denied
But,
If in my dreams
I see you there
Blanket my eyes
So I may stare
Words leave me to how I miss
Your silken skin and tender kiss
Reluctant, I come to terms
Follow what life affirms
No regretting anything of
What I’ve learned with love
Coming to terms is hard
Like being deeply scarred
