Coming Home To You

I see the gates in front of me,
The flowered fields that sway
My eyes have started searching for,
The pieces of my heart that were taken away.

I like this poem, I imagine the gates to be heavenly with a beautiful meadow. I lost my father 23 hours after giving birth 28 years this august but am always imagine him waiting for me at the gates. A lovely poem you wrote.
