Coming Home

Candles in the window shining oh so bright

Open doorway welcomes me to come in and relax

Making me glad to be home, warm and safe

Inside the cat rubs on my pantlegs, dogs jump at my feet

New messages flash on the telephone

Good news, bad news - always something new

Home is like a warm embrace, comforting and close

Open arms of my husband, a kiss shared in the kitchen

Matters of the day, once rough, slowly fade away

Everything seems better, being next to you at home
