Notes About The Poem

Comeuppance

A robber is robbed
of undeserved freedom.
Opportunistic
corporate climber
who's stepped on
one neck too many
gets to the top rung
of the glory ladder
only to slip
and crash to Earth?
The pride
of an arrogant prick
is starved of food
that nourishes
his enormous ego.
A high school bully
is reported
and expelled.
A troublemaker
finally picks on
the wrong bull
and gets the horns.
Karma, baby! Ain't it
a marvelous thing?

Nice one---and I do just LOVE it!! (although it's probably revenge, as opposed to 'justice). Congrats on your win in the contest, my friend. Season's best, Gershon

It was interesting to read your thoughts on Karma and Poetic Justice, Edward. Congratulations on your third-place win in a contest with very strong competition! Best wishes for the holidays, Carolyn
