Comet of the Day

How your wish is to see me die
When I entre the night sky
How your wish upon a star
Is carried on my tail not too far

I’m the comet of the day
My light has passed this way
I have sprayed life on this planet
Before bouncing back into orbit

It’s getting harder to glow
The city lights have dealt a heavy blow
I’m appreciated in the countryside
Here I can still be an awesome sight

Here I lie in a crater
My insignificance couldn’t be greater
I’m glad I could raise your spirits
A vision I created for those minutes
