Come With Me

First Memories - Come with Me As sure as it must, a dark sky breaks. Come with me, in the new day’s sun, We’ll gladly give whatever life takes, Whiling our time, till daylight is done. Sit with me like we haven’t a care, Under a canopy of shady tall trees, With gentle wisps of Spanish moss, Waving under a soft village breeze. We will be back, when back we turn, Time stretching like the road ahead, In a long procession of languid days, A parade of beauty, in words unsaid. Dance with me in dusk’s fading light, Where music sways and lovers swoon, Close the space and share the sight, As night brings our first rising moon. We will embrace the sweet serenity, Forever found between me and you, And be glad of day’s long eternity, Cast over our first pale morning dew.
