Come On Down

My soul has a hole in it's pocket
And the pennies, they leave a trail
If you say you want my two cents
Then, come on down
And pick up what I've left behind

My mind has a curtain with tattered ends
And the wind just blows on through
If you say you need shelter from the sun
Then, come on down
And rest your weary head

My heart is beating to creepy tune
And the shivers run up my spine
If you say you need a story
Then, come on down
I have got one to tell to you

My song that I'm singing has no end
And the rhythm is like the sea
If you say you got the blues
Then, come on down
This boat will bring you through

My soul has a hole it's pocket
Bad memories, they leave a trail
If you say you need a fresh start
Then, come on down
I've found the path for you

Hey stephaine! This is one of the greatest piece I have ever read on poetrysoup and it is going to my favourite list. I love the flow of words and the creativity embedded in this lovely piece, despite the fact that you are new on this site, you command great use of words. Is the story true? If yes, I will like to know you better Please keep writing you are great! Welcome to poetrysoup. You will have fun and learn from great writers. Love, Adeleke
