Come Back To Me

I can not fathom the pain
Coursing through my brain
Driving me insane
And creating showers and rain

Everywhere I go
The memory will still haunt
I see your shadow beside me
And it never ceases to taunt

It takes me back to a place
On a cool summers day
When you said you were through
And traveled far away

Where are you
And why did you go
You simply walked away
And I still do not know

I thought we would last
Our love could last an eternity
It would shelter us from pain
And it would forever endeavor

But you simply left
And here I am alone
Without a means of comfort
You were my only home
