Colours

Colours...bright & beautiful...
Splash the ambience everywhere...
Colours...divine & delightful...
Smear the lands & the air....!
Myriad specks of red & green...
Saffron,blue,purple & yellow...
Bestow us with glimpses umpteen...
Making us forget our stories of sorrow...!
These colours...that fill the skin...
Diffuse inside to the blood streams...
And make us to exult & grin...
& infuse new vigour in our dreams...!
These outward colours will be washed away...
Like the imprints in the bare sands...
But the colours inside will always stay...
Like the Fate carried in our hands....!

Gab Batter January 16, 2021 at 5:44 PM I really enjoyed this poem, especially the last few lines. I dont know what inspired this poem, but it makes ME feel the memories I have of the beach. Orange street lights, black sea, red, flushed skin. Colors are important.
