Colorful Dreams
Last night I fell into an everlasting dream
I was falling for hours, or so it seemed
Suddenly I heard a tremendous sound
Colors were exploding all around
All kinds of colors, blue-green and red
Then came more dreamers falling from bed
I yelled to them, where is this place
They could not answer; they had no face
I could only imagine where I might be
The beautiful colors were all I could see
As I looked around, it dawned on me
The other dreamers could not see
Without their faces to see and to hear
No one could imagine what they may fear
Of being in a dream that's black and white
All the beautiful colors vanished from sight
Dreams have no time limit of how long they may last
It is hard to remember dreams from the past
This dream may last forever in time
A colorful vision that clears the mind
I would rather be in a bright, pastel dream
Not stuck in black and white, the ugliest of scenes
So if by chance I'm here for a while
I'm sure to have a continuous smile
I love color, so I'll be happy here
The beauty of color is always clear
