Colored Glasses

upset at life and what it has to offer
i look at life thru colored glasses how
beautiful it can be but to take them
off i see nothing but monstrious things
unearthly creatures that i once thought
as beautiful i run threw blood filled
streets bodies afloat i scream at what
i see until i remember my colored glasses.

Unfortunately, we often resort to "colored glasses" to view what is too painful. Chilling thoughts, Jessica, and well conveyed! Love, Carolyn
