Collision

A speeding train, an SUV, A tragedy come true; The warning arm came down but still The car continued through. The driver lost her life as did Commuters on the train. The reasons why it happened Experts want to ascertain. The passengers who passed away All sat up in the front, For when the crash occurred The leading car absorbed the brunt. Today the trains were back on track And fully occupied Except the first compartments, which Had nobody inside.

I was just watching this tragic accident on the news. I was wondering if anyone would want to ride up front. Thanks for answering my question and for imortalising the people who died with your poem. Sad but very well done Ilene.
