College

Do you ever think about why you came to college?
to meet some new people? maybe gain some knowledge?
or out of obligation and potentially some homage?
Look, I'm not trying to bash everything about school
It's just not what it could be, it's more of a societal stepping stool,
paying for school to get a job to pay for school, seems cruel
you see, so many of my classes are just memorization and regurgitation
when they should be focused primarily on edification,
everyone's scared to talk in class, products of elementary indoctrination,
example, columbus discovered the americas? that's just falsification,
diluting people's inherent abilities and creativity,
in exchange for robots in suits, cubicles, aka captivity,
in today's world we've mistaken busy for productivity,
think back to when you were a kid, get in touch with your propensities,
you can be anything you want to, theres the secret to happiness and longevity!

This is right up my alley, so to speak. Many of your expression about American education I can vouch for. For most young people, college is a waste of valuable time and a enormous financial burden on their parents, not to mention a future paying off debts. What an eye-opener your poem is. / M
