I stare into those bright eyes so blue
You scour these lips with those kisses
I dont know if we'll ever be through
When youre away its you my mind misses
And when its time for one of us to go away
I just hope that you will at least remember me
The one thing i dread is that inevitable day
And afterwards your first love is all i will ever be
My last memory will be of you leaving for cali
It will be either in a car or by some airplane
We'll realize we will never live like jack and sally
But we will be distracted by the dramatic rain
But this isnt about losing the passion or lost love
This is only about acknowledging that we have limited time
Just know that what we have is what true is made of
And it could never be summed up in even a brilliant rhyme
Perhaps the future isnt all that depressing though
But i doubt that it will go any other way
Because it can only be reality that we both know
Dont worry about me i think i will be okay
So right now i just really want to be holding your hand
I honestly just want to be where ever you are
Its being away from you for a second that i cant stand
I just dread when you become a forgotten scar
When is it that i stop missing you on these nights
When do i stop thinking about you for hours
Itll be when one of us has to leave this city of lights
Just remember that this time has been ours
