Welcome to Spring!
(Written in the monthly
news letter 2014 for my
Former Faith Lutheran
Church, Everett Washington)
O Welcome to the beautiful months
of Spring. Our hearts can rejoice,
and our souls can sing, Glory to
God our Savior and King!
We have been awaiting Spring,
please listen to our spring song.
"Spring has sprung, the grass has
rise, I wonder where the flowers is?"
We used to sing our mother's song,
the entire season long.
Love As Always!

***Our mother told my older sister Lynn and I that
song she used to tease her own mother with when
she was a young girl. She was very sorry she did
pass it on down to us and they are all deceased now.
Christmas is the season we will always remember.
(This seasonal poem was written for family,
relatives and friends as part of my annual Christmas
gift to them.)
O When the holiday church bells chime,
It really must be close to Christmas time.
Yes, listen to the church bells ringing loud
and clear proclaiming that Christmas is
almost here. Christmas is the season we
will always remember.
O during the children's Christmas pageant
plays, a tiny Christ child in a manger lays.
The heavenly angels are bringing glad
tidings anew. All of the shepherds and the
wise men are worshiping, too. Christmas
is a season we will always remember.
O listen to the sleigh bells ringing, and we
can hear the carolers singing. Children of
all ages love to laugh and play when
riding in a one horse open sleigh. Christmas
is a season we will always remember.
O When the first Christmas snowflakes fall,
there's happy children large and small.
Frosty, the snowman is standing ten feet tall.
Christmas is a season we will always remember.
O When the stars are twinkling so very brightly
tonight, it's only because of all the Christmas
trees' lights. See the presents under the Christmas
trees. There's some for you and there's some for
me. Christmas is a season we will always remember.
O When the stockings are hanging all neatly in a row,
Christmas is coming before we know. Christmas is
such a festive time of year lets all have a merry
Christmas and a happy New year. Christmas is a
season we will always remember.

I long to Comfort You
Oh, how I long to comfort and console you.
But mere words of reasonable solace will
never do. Only your Lord Jesus Christ is
able to help you with your pathways in
this life.
Deliverance is a milestone, reachable! True
deliverance is believable. There is no reason
to feel sad or blue. Your life is valuable to your
Lord and Savior, too! Don't put out your life's
lights. Darkness turns into light.
There is no reason to hide your inner pain and
turmoil hidden deep inside your very soul. To
your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, you are far
more valuable than either silver or gold.
Love in Christ Jesus!

LET FREEDOM RING!
Lord Jesus let the bells of freedom
ring loud and clear throughout the
USA on our nation's independence
day. All people both far and wide
will hear the sounds of freedom.
Come and celebrate the birthday
of our glorious nation on the Fourth
of July.
Praise you Lord Jesus Christ! We are,
"land of the free and the home of the
brave." All patriots will boldly wave
OLD GLORY, the flag of our great nation.
The military bands are marching in unison
to the loud sounds of the bugles and the
drums. Let all of the people salute the
emblem of our nation's freedom.
Praise you Lord Jesus--LET FREEDOM RING!
Love in Christ Jesus!

Our Hiding Place
(These poems were lovingly
typed by the ladies of my
former Calvary Baptist Church.)
There's a very special hiding place
Where we can stay,
Our host, Jesus Christ will show us
The way.
Peace and assurance awaits us there.
We can leave behind all of our worries
And our cares.
In our special place we're never alone
Because our host as made our hearts,
His home.
The Best Moments of our Lives
The seasons of our lives
All too quickly pass away
All of our memories we
Cherish the most today,
All too soon become our
Yesterdays
Time won't wait for us, it seems
Is that why we treasure all of our
Plans and our dreams
And, is that really why we want
Our friends and our loved ones
To understand
We might not always know the
Right words to say
It's true
It's sometimes difficult to tell them
"I Love You!"
"Yes, the very special moments of
Our lives we hold dear,
Are always when our friends and loved
Ones are near."

Why am I digging up all of these old poems?
When I am very busy typing away on some
Much newer poems. When I first started
to I used to ask myself, why?
It's because I treasure my golden oldies
written for friends, family, relatives and
various churches over the years.
Preserving lasting memories I now hold
dear.
Yes for me it's n'er really been off with the
oldies poetry being replaced by the new,
I have to dig them up and uncover them.
Revealing them on Poetry Soup.
"Something's borrowed, somethings new,
Somethings old and somethings blue."
All of my love in Christ Jesus,
