Cold Reality and Truth

Cold Reality and Truth

I wish I could explain to you
The devastation that I feel
As cold reality and truth
Make it all so very Real

You tried to tell me several times
But I simply refused to believe
You had found another love
Love for me you could not retrieve

What shall I do with me?
Now that you are not here
I cry in the night like a baby
And can’t seem to stop the tears

Of course life must go on
But right now I am not sure why
The pain has reached my soul
And it has heard my mournful cry

The love I thought was forever
Simply just was not there
Causing more pain in my soul
So much more than I can bear

I shall pray to God above
And tell him how I feel
Then cold reality and truth
May not seem so very real.
