Cold Rain

Younger daughter The forgotten one Left in the shadow Of the fallen son Older brother’s great sadness He buries within To deal with the madness They don’t know where to begin Our lives have changed forever We were never the same So much bitter sadness Needing someone to blame Yet hate changes nothing Except the ones who hate For in hatred’s own heart A Demon will wait So they push aside the sorrow To start living again Time heals all wounds The only question is when So now they turn to each other To lessen the pain Still all these years later They can still feel the Cold Rain
