Cold Choice

Cold Choice
The azure sea ‘waves’ come hither
Frolic among us and role asunder
Make your mind choose not to dither
Tides are timed to return don’t blunder
All in-shore ‘waves’ are out in number

Cold are the waters when felt upon
Rolling you over drawing a cursed gasp
Making you wish you hadn’t of gone
Racing into the froth well into its grasp
To be jostled and taken for many a lapse

This swim you may if wise to the rule
Endure and frequent again more sure
Keep your head up out of the water fool
Don’t think you can take any light leisure
When the next rising wave calls a duel.
