Cold As the Driven Snow
Many hearts in pain, are out there,
ready to lash out, on people unknown.
Even though the people unknown, aren't responsible,
the latter, still chip away, at people's hearts, like stone.
At times, for no reason, but to pursue,
to get their kicks, to get their thrill.
Just to see, what they can, get away with,
while breaking down, on a human's aspiring will.
With all the bitterness, falling emotionally downward,
upon the rest of us, as if, standing there, is a given.
Like us caught standing, in a winter storm,
with snow falling, being cold and extremely driven.
