Cold

Cold and numb again
Too far gone to take it in
Today it’s just the same
Another day I haven’t been

Focus on my breath
Defying me it settles in
Claim it’s for the best
Throw me out and back again

There’s nothing in my eyes
I’m dreaming up my lies
Just so content to die
It hides

I’ve managed to convince
There’s darkness burning in our minds
I have the evidence
But with this I now find

There’s nothing in my eyes
I’m dreaming up my lies
Just so content to die
It hides
The cold that I believe
Welcoming disease
To know is no reprieve
I’m never going to leave
But I must relieve
