Coffee Time

Coffee Time
By Franklin Price

It's coffee time again
It's time to drip you
I can smell the scent of caffeine
In the air
I will put the cream and sugar
at the ready
If you visit me
You know your cup is there

It's coffee time again
It's time to drink it
I pour the steaming coffee
In the cup
I've preferred mine hot and black
For such a long time
There's no cooling time
Before I drink it up

Coffee time is done
I've got to go now
Retired but
I've got some things to do
Now that I'm awake
And mind is working
May this be the best of days
For all of you
