Cocoon

Spin your web around me,oh worm
Wrap it good and tight;
Blind me from the evils of this world
Until they are vanquished from my sight.
Leave me there a season
Safe and secure from the darkest nights;
Left to die in my own rotting flesh
Until I'm born into the light.
Transform me into something so precious
With a freedom to soar on high;
And leave the past memories far below
Wherever past hurts go to die.
Let me spread my wings among the clouds
To dance gracefully in the gentle breeze;
Let me see my image in the still quiet pool
And thank God for creating me
