Cocoon

BUTTERFLY WINGS
I do appreciate your being here
But one day soon you know I'll disappear.
And when I fly,
I'll fly on butterfly wings.

I know you see someone you think is me.
But nothing's really what it seems to be,
and when I fly
I'll fly on butterfly wings.

Bright light.
Never ending white light.
All my life a sweet ride, on butterfly wings.
Highway.
Always going my way
I'll keep going my way, on butterfly wings.
Out there
I'll be going somewhere
and I'm going to get there, on butterfly wings
Bright light
never ending white light
all my life a sweet ride, on butterfly wings.

It's not that I don't care, you know I do.
And you can feel it, when I think of you,
and when I fly,
I'll fly on butterfly wings.

This is one of my personal favorite poems I have written that developed into a Song Lyric. It is on Youtube, as a video as well.
